My Pricing
What's your budget?
So when I get asked "What's your pricing?", I have to answer honestly "What's your budget?" Because well lets face it, isn't that the real driving force behind it all and all projects are different. You can't lump a single price to every project and that's why I answer with this.
Now, to give you a basis to start from, my rates are simple. To do any work for any project, I start out with a studio fee. That studio fee is $100. That means that if I turn on my mic with the intent of recording, its a $100 studio fee, assuming of course the job is produced and billed.
Why even ask "What's your budget" then if you have a studio fee?"
Well, to go into that further, with the exception of the studio fee, I also go by the Global Voice Acting Academy rate guide. And as the name implies, its a rate guide. Doesn't mean its law, but it does provide us both with a good idea of what industry standard rates are for a given project. You might ask for a quote and I will give you one, but it will mainly be based on the GVAA.
This might not fit within your budget. Therefore I always ask first "What's your budget?" See why now?
Before inquiring about a job, please note I might ask about these conditions:
-
What is the nature if the work?
-
How many words?
-
Do you have a script?
-
How long is the voice over?
-
What would you like to see in the tone/delivery of the voice over?
-
Is this going to be commercially broadcast? If so, we will need to discuss Commercial Rights Buyout.
-
Does this have anything to do with Speech Synthesis or otherwise using/manipulating voice for artificial intelligence voice?
-
What is your timeframe for the deliverable?
-
What file format(s) do you need?
