Chellenges, challenges, challenges...

So as days go today wasn't that bad. Well, I take that back. When I say wasn't as bad as what it could be, what I really mean is I finished up this little pain in the butt job that I had to do for a client here on Upwork. Not that the work was hard per say. It was just tedious. Very. Very. Tedious.

I've done a lot of tedious work before. Not that it's unusual. We all do it. When we have to. But this one was a little bit out of the ordinary, and I guess I have my own self to blame for that one.

Seems as a customer here on Upwork contacted me to do some voice over, and I'm not going to say who it was and I'm not going to go into the details of the job, rather I'm going to tell you the conditions of the job. The job initially was rather low-balled. But I decided to do the job anyway. Not that I really needed it, but hey I got the price up to somewhere where I thought I could do the job and still make a little money. Boy was I wrong.

I did mention that it was tedious work that night? Well it was. Seems it was opening and closing credits, section headers, and a bunch of little itty bitty files that were broken up totaling about 140. And they all had to be named in a certain way and had to have certain attributes of applying to those names. As well they also had to be arranged on my Google Drive page and put into folders the way that the customer had “said” he wanted me to have put them in there. that being said, I did. It was a little difficult to figure out what the guy really wanted. But after a while I think I got the gist of what he meant.

One thing you really never want to do is send out instructions over a cell phone video. it just doesn't work. So he sends me this video, and still it sort of and sort of doesn't make sense. but I do the best I can. Oh did I mention it was tedious work?

I'm finally done with it. I do expect the annoying changes to crop up, and from that, I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

Tomorrow is another day.
